He holds an MS in applied statistics and a BS in mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has formal education in advanced statistical analysis including categorical data analysis, survival analysis, simulation and stats computing, mathematical statistics, applied statistics, probability and statistics, experiments and sampling, data management in SAS, statistical applications using SAS, and multivariate analysis. His technical acumen includes proficiency in R, SAS, SQL, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
