Steven Hickson

As Chief Financial Officer at IMS Legal Strategies, Steven Hickson leads the firm’s financial and merger/acquisition activities, in addition to serving on the Executive Committee and supporting key company initiatives. Steven is a senior financial leader with a proven track record of driving organizational growth worldwide and establishing strategic partnerships in growth-stage organizations, including private equity owned companies, founder-led organizations, and international joint ventures.

Prior to joining the IMS team, Steven was the Chief Financial Officer for one of the largest commercial insurance claims management service providers in the US. He was the company’s first CFO and led several transformative strategic and financial initiatives. Steven previously served as CFO for a global weather forecasting and media company and a Latin American television service, delivering significant revenue and market gains in both industries.

Steven began his professional career as a CPA with KPMG. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona and an accounting degree from North Carolina State University. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Steven resides in the Atlanta metro area. As a member of Atlanta Technology Angels, he is an active investor in several early-stage technology and life sciences companies. Outside of work, Steven enjoys playing competitive tennis, traveling, and attending live concerts.
