When attorneys involved in significant IP matters need to relay complex information in a way that judges and jurors readily comprehend, they often turn to Andrew Buckley, Trial Consultant. Andrew knows which case themes will be pivotal during trial and he leverages those themes by transforming them into powerful imagery. Because he is skilled in photography, videography, graphic design, and multimedia formats, he possesses broad-spectrum insights into which mediums best convey case themes, stories, and evidence, and he is constantly on the lookout for ways to implement new visual storytelling methods into his cases, including through use of 3D modeling, drone photography, and state-of-the-art animation techniques. Andrew is also a skilled technician who ensures online and courtroom images are readily displayed, making him an asset to attorneys from the start to finish of a case.

Andrew has worked on several high-level cases, including on behalf of the defense in FMC v. Dril-Quip. Andrew helped make this technically complicated case that involved subsea drilling equipment more understandable for jurors through his creation of concise graphics and animations. For Charalambopolous v. Grammer, he employed a wide variety of visual storytelling methods, including illustrations, photos, and video. Other notable cases for which he has created imagery include Accresa Health v. Hint HealthUSAA v. Wells Fargo, and IV II v. FedEx.

Andrew earned his BFA in photography at The University of Texas, Arlington. His visual images have received acclaim not only inside the courtroom but outside of it as well. Andrew’s photographic works have been featured in The Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and on the front page of The Wall Street Journal. When Andrew is not at work on a case, he spends his time picking up new skills, which presently include mountain biking and woodworking, and hanging out with his wife and kids.
