Dr. Victoria Carlson applies her expertise in legal and experimental psychology to help clients understand juror decision-making, assess case themes, and develop effective litigation strategies. Drawing on a strong foundation in empirical research, she translates complex behavioral science into practical insights that support attorneys throughout the litigation process.
Victoria has contributed to a wide range of jury consulting engagements, supporting high-stakes matters through mock trials, focus groups, shadow juries, witness preparation, and jury selection. Her consulting work is informed by extensive research experience, including the design and execution of grant-funded studies examining investigative interviewing, juror perceptions, credibility assessments, and cognitive bias in legal settings.
Her doctoral research focused on improving communication and decision-making in challenging settings. Working in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, she developed a structured text-to-911 protocol to enhance information gathering during emergencies. This work reflects her broader interest in improving the quality, accuracy, and reliability of information used in legal and investigative decision-making.
In addition to her research expertise, Victoria brings strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills to her consulting work. She has led research teams, developed survey instruments and interview protocols, and translated complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences. Her experience working with interdisciplinary teams, including law enforcement professionals, attorneys, and academic researchers, enables her to thrive in the fast-paced, collaborative environment of litigation consulting.
Victoria earned her PhD in Legal Psychology from Florida International University, where she taught courses in legal psychology and research methods. She is based in Miami, Florida, and enjoys golfing and paddleboarding in her spare time.
