Lindsay Roberts, PhD

Lindsay Roberts, PhD, is a senior research manager on the litigation surveys and consumer science team at IMS Legal Strategies. Dr. Roberts specializes in using survey research to explore human attitudes and behaviors, with a particular focus on media communication and gender. Her work delves into how gender is presented in mass media aimed at adolescents and children.

Dr. Roberts honed her litigation survey expertise at MMR Strategy Group prior to the firm joining IMS in 2025. She was previously a fellow at the Center for Scholars and Storytellers at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also supervised a media lab research team at the University of California, Davis, where she was a principal researcher and instructor for four years.

Dr. Roberts earned a PhD in communication from the University of California, Davis. She also holds a master's and bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Arizona. Her research has been published in prestigious journals such as Psychology of Men and Masculinities, Mass Communication & Society, and The Journal of Sex Research. Dr. Roberts has presented her work at twelve national and international conferences and contributed to three textbooks.

In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, practicing yoga, and going on walks with her Australian Kelpie, Georgie.
