IMS Legal Strategies Trial Consulting Advisor Michael Lake is a trial graphics expert who directs the development of courtroom presentations and demonstrative evidence for complex litigation matters with particular focus on intellectual property and technology-related cases. He collaborates closely with attorneys, expert witnesses, and litigation teams to present powerful and memorable visual stories to decision-makers in high-stakes disputes.
Michael manages visual production plans in complex cases in federal, state, and international proceedings. He is masterful at conceptualizing presentation strategies alongside attorneys and expert witnesses, and coordinating teams of artists, animators, voice talent, videographers, and photographers to deliver polished, trial-ready materials on tight deadlines and focused budgets.
Michael joined IMS through the 2026 acquisition of Fulcrum Legal Graphics. Over the course of 20 years at Fulcrum, he served as vice president, board member, IT director, producer, and media artist. In addition to leading courtroom presentation development efforts, he developed and maintained the technical infrastructure that sustained Fulcrum’s operations.
Photography is a professional focus and personal passion for Michael. Outside of work, he volunteers as photography editor and photographer for a grassroots media outlet covering professional and collegiate soccer in and around the Twin Cities. His years coordinating deadline-driven projects in the litigation environment have sharpened the editorial instincts he brings to that role.
