Lorelei Laird is a Research Director of Litigation Surveys and Consumer Science at IMS. With nearly two decades of experience as a legal journalist, Lorelei has deep expertise in U.S. law, which she leverages in her research projects on intellectual property matters such as likelihood of confusion, false advertising, materiality, and more.
Before joining IMS, Lorelei spent 18 years as a journalist for publications including the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Slate, Above the Law, LegalZoom, and others. She has covered various practice areas, including intellectual property, immigration, and the business of law. Lorelei also has extensive experience preparing legal marketing materials such as blog posts, websites, and ebooks, particularly for direct-to-consumer attorneys specializing in personal injury and family law.
Lorelei earned her B.A. in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son, and two cats.
