Dianna Long is a trial consultant at IMS Legal Strategies with a unique combination of visual advocacy, strategic communications, project management, and litigation advisory experience. She collaborates closely with attorneys to transform complex legal, technical, and scientific information into clear, persuasive visual presentations that resonate with judges, jurors, and other decision-makers.
Prior to joining IMS, Dianna served in senior leadership and advisory roles with the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and the U.S. Agency for International Development, where she managed project initiatives, advised executive-level stakeholders, negotiated critical policy matters, and led multidisciplinary teams in dynamic environments around the world. Her experience includes strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, crisis response, deciphering complex policies and regulations, and developing compelling presentations and communications for diverse audiences.
Dianna began her career in trial consulting, working with leading litigation consulting firms, including DecisionQuest, Courtroom Sciences, and DOAR. In those roles, she partnered with legal teams to analyze case materials, develop courtroom graphics and demonstratives, manage case budgets and timelines, support mock trials, and provide trial and war room support. She also trained design teams on best practices in visual advocacy and helped implement quality assurance processes that improved workflow efficiency and client service.
Dianna earned a Master of Global Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Austin College.
In her personal life, Dianna enjoys volunteering with her city’s Community Emergency Response Team and other community support groups, as well as hiking and exploring Oregon’s many state and national parks with her husband.
