Orissa Loftin

As chronology manager on the medical expert witness services team at IMS Legal Strategies, Orissa Loftin leads a department of more than 30 chronologists and four team leads responsible for creating comprehensive indices of records for IMS medical experts. She oversees daily operations, develops and updates training materials, and continually evaluates workflows to ensure the production of medical record indices is efficient, accurate, and seamless for clients and experts alike.

Orissa brings extensive medical knowledge to her role, drawing on her prior experience at a medical examiner’s office where she studied medical terminology, human anatomy, and medical records management. This background enables Orissa to guide her team with subject-matter expertise while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across complex medical records.

Orissa has successfully led the chronology team through significant organizational change, including the merger of Juris Medicus into IMS and the implementation of a new records management system. She is also an active participant in company programs designed to enhance IMS’s legendary client experience. Outside of work, Orissa enjoys traveling with her husband to mountain bike in scenic locations, running with their three dogs, attending San Antonio Spurs games, and going to concerts.
