Guy Grogan, Senior Trial Consulting Advisor, is highly skilled in all areas of case development, including trial theme conceptualization, case strategy planning, and creation of compelling graphics. Over the past 20 years, Guy has worked on behalf of numerous industry leaders, such as Netflix, Aetna, Apple, Samsung, and Micron, and he has built a reputation among Am Law 50 firms for his ability to transform complex information into visually appealing and meaningful graphics that improve case outcomes. Within IMS, members of the consulting and graphics teams frequently seek out Guy to provide them with guidance and advice on their projects.
Guy has lectured and authored several articles on the role of good design in the field of litigation graphics. He has applied those principles successfully to cases, resulting in complete defense verdicts for several important pieces of litigation. Guy has particular experience designing visual presentations for insurance bad-faith matters, intellectual property and employment disputes, and large class action cases, including for the decade-long In re Silzone Heart Valve litigation. In that suit, Guy worked on behalf of St. Jude Medical, and in the end, the court dismissed all claims against that institution. He also worked on behalf of the class on In re TFT-LCD, which was one of the few antitrust class actions ever to be tried to a successful verdict.
An all-around creative person, Guy holds a BA in music from the University of Memphis and has completed graduate work in fine arts. When not working on the front lines of a trial, he can be found in his home studio creating art or writing, recording, and promoting the music of his eponymous one-man band.
