Combatting Anti-Corporate Sentiment in the Courtroom

Presentation Details

Jurors are informed by the perceptions, beliefs, and biases they bring with them into the courtroom. It is never more evident than when your client is a corporation. The link between jurors' anti-corporate attitudes and bias against corporate defendants has been demonstrated time and again.

This presentation covers the recent influence of the "Great Resignation" and how it has affected juror predispositions. We also discuss how to identify anti-corporate bias during voir dire as a first step in your litigation strategy, and how to pursue a case story that emphasizes the humanizing characteristics of warmth and competence in your corporate client.
