IMS is proud to employ many US veterans and support veterans in our communities across the country. In honor of Veterans Day 2022 and our ongoing Mike Wein Good Deed initiative, we are privileged to sponsor two events local to our Pensacola, Florida headquarters.
On Saturday, November 12, IMS team members will participate in the 38th Annual MCL/TEL Semper Fi 5k Charity Run, with charity beneficiaries including Santa Rosa Kids’ House, Vision of Hope, and Be the Miracle. For the first time, a portion of race proceeds will also be allocated to the MCL/Heroes Among Us Veterans in Distress Fund, which exists to provide financial assistance to honorably discharged veterans in times of need. The event is always dedicated to a distinguished veteran who has served our nation, and this 38th annual race honors USMC Lance Corporal Lenny Collins and his wife Gloria, who were the driving force behind the construction of “Wall South,” Pensacola’s Vietnam Memorial Wall replica.
IMS staff will also join the Veterans Day Celebration at Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, November 11, which will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the wall’s dedication and include a reading of all 58,318 names.
