IMS Releases a COVID-19 Expertise Hub, Sponsors Webcast Briefing on Sector-by-Sector Pandemic Recovery for Big Law

06.15.20

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 15, 2020

Pensacola, Fla. |

IMS Consulting & Expert Services has announced the launch of a new COVID-19 expertise hub and sponsorship for “The Path Forward” webcast briefing, designed to help Big Law partners and legal industry stakeholders gain clarity around recovery from the pandemic. The hub provides the firm’s clients a range of pandemic-related resources, while the live briefing will feature timely perspective from the editors-in-chief and top analysts of major legal industry publishers, including The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, Legaltech News, and The National Law Journal.

“We are motivated to help our clients and partners throughout the industry gain a clear view of how COVID-19 and its effects are impacting the commercial litigation community, and ushering in economic and behavioral shifts that could sustain for quite some time,” remarked James Crane, Chief Revenue Officer of IMS Consulting & Expert Services. “We are pleased to deliver these resources and extend the expertise needed to support our clients’ good work during these challenging times.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted all aspects of the legal industry and court system, including a trending shift toward virtualization by courts, new types of business dispute considerations, and resounding economic and financial implications that affect law firms and industries. The firm’s new COVID-19 expertise hub provides a range of articles, podcasts, industry intelligence, and research relevant to business litigation and the impacts of the pandemic, as well as an efficient way to secure expertise on matters related to the pandemic.

In the upcoming “The Path Forward” webcast, litigators, practitioners, and law firm leaders will gain context through discussion of these impacts, what we can learn from the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic telephonic arguments, how key regulatory enforcement has shifted amid the pandemic, and how courts are moving through phases of restriction to virtualization and reopening.

IMS sponsorship of “The Path Forward” and the launch of the COVID-19 expertise hub indicate the firm’s dedication to providing Big Law practitioners and top litigators the intelligence, research, and context needed to advance cases and manage their practices during a period of significant challenge for the industry. Earlier this year, IMS conducted an in-depth study on the perspectives of litigation community stakeholders to develop context on how the litigation community was navigating pandemic-related disruptions and new issues. Most recently, the firm has launched a study into the perceptions of likely jurors across several venues on topics relevant to COVID-19 disputes. Top findings from these studies will be available to IMS clients on the hub, along with other useful resources.

“The Path Forward” webcast is scheduled for June 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. ET. IMS clients can access pandemic-related resources and complimentary registration through the IMS COVID-19 Expertise Hub.

Questions about the webcast briefing and thought leadership resources assembled on the hub can be directed to Teresa Barber, Director of Industry Relations with IMS Consulting & Expert Services, at tbarber@expertservices.com.
