Kyle Rawn, MS, PhD, is a Senior Research Manager of Litigation Surveys and Consumer Science at IMS. With a background in experimental psychology, he brings considerable experience in human behavior, social science research, statistical techniques, and data analysis to the team.
Dr. Rawn's PhD research explored how certain coping strategies may reduce or exacerbate responses to stress. Additionally, Dr. Rawn has conducted research on jurors' perceptions of defendants and victims in mock trials involving crimes, abuse, or harassment. His work has been published in esteemed journals such as Psychophysiology, Stress, and the Journal of Psychology, Public Policy, and Law.
Dr. Rawn's research experience includes roles at the Keller Child and Family Development Lab at the University of Kentucky and the Department of Defense Virtual Lab School at The Ohio State University. In these positions, he designed, implemented, and managed research projects while also supporting fellow researchers by recruiting participants, conducting background research, and analyzing qualitative interviews.
Prior to earning his degrees, Kyle served four years of active duty in the United States Army as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, for which he earned awards for excellence in individual and team performance. During that time, he also developed and led a pre-deployment training program.
Dr. Rawn completed his PhD and a master's degree in experimental psychology, with a concentration in developmental psychology, at the University of Kentucky. He also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from The Ohio State University.
Outside of his work at IMS, Dr. Rawn enjoys going to the gym, hiking the mountains or canyons, and catching up on his reading list at the beach.
