Retina / Uveitis

Uveitis is inflammation inside the eye which is typically caused by injury, infection, or an autoimmune disease. Inflammation damages the uvea and can affect other parts of the eye depending on the type of uveitis involved. Early diagnosis and care are crucial as uveitis can lead to vision loss if left untreated.

There are four types of uveitis:

  • Anterior uveitis
  • Intermediate uveitis
  • Panuveitis
  • Posterior uveitis
