IMS Hosts Supply Drive To Benefit USO of Northwest Florida

PENSACOLA, FLA

 | IMS Consulting & Expert Services is hosting a supply drive to directly benefit the United Service Organization (USO) of Northwest Florida. The supply drive is part of the Mike Wein Good Deed of the Month, a program in honor of the late Mike Wein, former co-founder and CEO of IMS.

“Through the Mike Wein Good Deed of the Month initiative, we honor the IMS tradition of serving our community,” reflected Heather Neese, Director of Human Resources. “I am thrilled that, for the third year in a row, IMS will conduct our USO drive to benefit local service members. IMS employees have come to anticipate this good deed each year with great pride and excitement.”

Throughout the month of June, IMS employees and their families, alongside other members of the Pensacola community, will collect supplies to help the USO advance it’s mission to: strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation.

“Generous donations like this from our friends in the community help us keep the doors open at all four USO Northwest Florida Centers,” remarked Dana Cervantes, Senior Director of the USO of Northwest Florida. “Last year, we served over 190,000 service members in our centers with services, snacks and beverages, recreation activities, and programs, all at no cost to our guests.”

“Needless to say, all deployments are hard,” noted Angela Henrichs, a member of the Accounting team with IMS and coordinator of the company’s USO supply drive. She continued to explain that deployments are hard “not only on the service members, but their families too. The USO accommodates thousands of active duty men and women during their travels and their amazing volunteers work tirelessly to ensure they receive a little comfort. If you will, a little touch of home.”

Due to Pensacola’s proximity to NAS Pensacola, Eglin Air Force base, and Hurlburt Field, there is a large population of active and reserve duty military personnel, as well as veterans, retirees, and family members.

“We consider it an honor,” noted IMS CEO, Bill Wein, “to be headquartered in such a location, surrounded by those who serve and those who have served. We are fortunate to have veteran and military family as not just neighbors, but as key members of the IMS team of professionals who serve expert needs of the world’s most influential firms. It’s an honor to host this USO supply drive again this year.”

Members of the public are welcome to participate in the IMS-hosted USO supply drive. Materials are being collected at IMS headquarters, 4400 Bayou Blvd, Suite 4, Pensacola, FL 32503 during regular business hours. Items collected for the drive include snack items, batteries, hamburgers, and hot dogs. The USO has also indicated a large need for bottles of waters, and canned sodas. A full list of items is available upon request.
