What is BILL?
BILL is IMS’ payment management system.
BILL uses bank-level security, firewalls, and encryption on any sensitive or personal data. BILL offers many benefits, including the option of faster payments and access to a secure portal where you can update your information and see payment status.
The @hq.bill.com email address is related to BILL and is the email address automatically attributed to their routinely generated emails.
You may receive emails from BILL about registering for your portal if you want to be able to change your bank account or look up payment statuses, but this is purely optional.
You do not need to pay any fees to BILL to receive your payments and should ignore any messages regarding fees.
There is a feature that BILL offers called Vendor Direct which allows experts to register for a program that processes payments more quickly to the expert account. This program charges a 3% fee and requires the expert to enter a payment method for that fee. Should you incorrectly register for this program, you must contact BILL support to have your account changed.
